Doctor's Update

I had my 32 week appointment this morning and got good news from the doctor. He still has a feeling that Peyton is large and wants to do another sonogram in 2 weeks along with my next appointment. He said that if it looks like Peyton is going to be pushing 9 lbs, then we will probably induce early. But he said that we could definitely induce a week early either way, so hopefully we will have a baby by either the 11Th or 14Th of April! Crazy to think how close that is!! So many things to do before then!! Otherwise, Peyton's heartbeat was good, right about 139. My blood pressure, proteins and iron all looked great. Weight was down almost 2 lbs from a month ago, but doc still didn't seem concerned. I'm weighing right about 10 lbs heavier than I was at my 8 week appointment, so at least I know I'm gaining and most of my clothes are still fitting with some alterations (such as the rubber band on my jeans button right now :) ). Anyway, I'm very anxious to see Peyton again in 2 weeks and told Austyn today that she could miss the first part of school to go with us again to see him, so she is excited too. Although, I don't know if she is more excited about seeing her brother or missing school :) Probably the latter! Hope all is well with everyone, those of you reading this that have blogs of your own need to update, I'm having blog withdrawal :)

Sunny Saturday

Before I immerse myself in house cleaning for the morning, I wanted to jot a quick update! Nothing really new, just growing and stretching and kicking and wiggling. Peyton moves non-stop. Not big movements, just rolling and shifting which sometimes catch me off-guard when I'm waiting on a customer at work. Its hard not to be like "oh, wow, what was that!" :) I think I would get a few strange looks, but as its more obvious now that I am actually pregnant most people would probably understand. I have been told quite often lately that I'm getting "fat" now! I guess my customers are comfortable with me and know they can joke around with me :) 8 more weeks, its sooo hard to believe that I've already been pregnant for 32 weeks! Time flies by and I know these next weeks are going to go by even faster! I have a doctors appointment Monday morning, so I will update the latest after that!!
Can't wait for this amazing weather this week! With the way this winter has gone so far, a week of great weather is just what the doctor ordered!!

Slightly off the mark...

Hey guys, I just wanted to write a quick post to let everyone know what I'm doing right now with my Mary Kay stock. When I started selling Mary Kay a few months back, my director did my initial order and over ordered some things for me. So to get them off of my shelves and open up some room for some new stuff, I am going to offer everything that I have in stock right now for 40% off. I have Timewise sets and single items, microderm abrasion sets, eyeliners, eyeshadows, lipstick/gloss, pretty much a little of everything, but never the things that I need for my sales :) If you have specific items that you need right now, please let me know!! Also, if you have never done a consultation and would like to find out what I have to offer, give me a call or drop me a line and we'll get it set up! Thanks so much! Thanks for bearing with me about this post, please let everyone you know that uses MK about the sale. I could use the extra space right now and need to clear out my shelves!

Calm before the storm.

OK, so it's been awhile since I posted. I am still fighting this cold/flu stuff, but that is no excuse for not dropping a line. I apologize. Anyway, no new real big news lately, just lots of time spent getting ready for Peyton! Cleaning house, doing laundry and shopping have been major time suckers lately and I have neglected my blog because of it!
I really need to stay off of the old navy baby website, I ordered another 10 things off of it yesterday! But, I can say everything was on sale and nothing was more than 7.50. So at least I'm bargain shopping! I love buying boy clothes now tho, no pink, no frills, just cute little blue and green pieces! So much fun. Don't get me wrong, girls clothes are much cuter, but with all of the clothing issues we have had with Austyn lately, its refreshing to buy blue :)
I've spent a lot of time at work lately getting things ready for my leave. I am tentatively planning on being off work from April 14th to May 12th. Then after that I will be working Wed and Thursday at night and Friday, Saturday and Sunday during the day when Wes is home with the kids. We decided that the only way we could afford the summer while Austyn is home, is to not have either of the kids in daycare. Then when Austyn starts first grade in August, we will get Peyton into daycare and go back to our regular schedule. I think it will work out well, just limit the time that me and Wes spend together. But that is only for a few months and will be for a good cause, so I'm not worried.
Peyton has been REALLY active the last few weeks again, but as space is getting smaller in his little home, he's rolling a lot more than jabbing. Not a lot of sharp pains now, but definitely a lot of pressure when he sticks a knee or his back against my belly button and pushes with all of his might! He's always active about an hour before bed so Wes has had a good time "playing" with him, pushing on different spots on my stomach. Peyton then responds with a movement either in that spot or by moving to another area to get away from the pokes. I sometime wonder if he gets annoyed by people "invading" his area.
Thats all for now, have to go get motivated for the day!!

Overrun by the flu!

Austyn and I have apparently been consumed by the flu this week. I called my doc today and was told that there is a bad strain of the flu going around right now causing sinus problems, coughing, vomiting and achy body. I guess that explains Austyn's problems over the last couple of weeks, but I'm surprised that flu is the diagnosis since she never ran a fever. She seems to be doing much better, but Im a different story :) The doctor said it takes 7 to 10 days to run its course and I am somewhere around day 2 or 3. So I probably have a long weekend ahead. The doctor also said that my blood work came back on Tuesday and it turns out I'm moderately anemic as well. So tomorrow I have to start on a new prescription for that. This isn't a very happy post, but I just wanted to let everyone know whats going on in case they dont hear out of us for a few days! :)
On a positive note, I'm stoked about the new port-a-crib that we got for Peyton. I was at Kmart on Tuesday and ran across a $99 playyard on clearance for $60! I was worried about it missing something or being broken, but upon getting it out of the box, it was in perfect condition! I was so excited and will get pics of it posted tomorrow (whether anyone cares to see it or not :) ). It is definitely an upgrade from the laundry basket that Austyn slept in when she was a newborn!
Hope everyone is doing well and evading the flu!

28 Week Labs

Went to the doctor's office today for my 28 week appointment and labs. Everything turned out well, the glucose test was normal and so was the urine check, which means the UTI is all cleared up. Sorry if that's too much info, just the update :) Baby's heartbeat was 138 and I have gained exactly 10 lbs since my first appointment. It was pretty funny tho, when I drank the glucose sugar stuff, the baby started going crazy! Moving and shifting all over the place, he is definitely sensitive to sugar!
Austyn is home again today from school. She has vomited twice in the last 3 weeks at school and then when she gets home, is fine. She has had some sinus thing on and off, so I dont know if thats causing it or if there is something going on with school that may be making her feel yucky. I am going to email her teacher and see what her opinion is on the situation and what we need to do about it. I'll keep everyone posted!

Organization

My post last night was successful in that I did have a very productive evening! I'm not sure tho that the post changed my attitude or if it was the tearing in to the bathroom cabinets and organizing. There is something almost therapeutic about organizing. I'm starting to understand its calming effects. Maybe before Peyton gets here my house will be clean and organized after all :) My energy is starting to wain (from what it was 2 weeks ago), but I am going to keep truckin' b/c I want more than anything to have a completely clean, organized home the day that we walk in the door with our new baby. It is going to be such a relief to not have to worry about searching to find things and knowing exactly where things are going to be when I need them. I want everyone to hold me responsible to that b/c I know it makes me feel better when I am living in a happy place :)
